(Click on the image to view full gallery) Way back in about 1982, after working with the wonderful Des O'Brien for many years, I decided to go it alone. We moved to Sydney in 1987 and I continued to fix the odd mower until Moira said if brought another machine home, one of us would have to move out! So in 2001, we took a leap of faith and opened a full-time business - Call on Col - Northshore Mower Repairs, in an old printing works building in Fitzsimons Lane, Gordon.
I opened the doors on Monday 15 October, 2001. After Dad passed away, I saved some old tools that he'd collected and we created a bit of a display. It's been a great source of interest for my customers, some even taking photos and I've been gifted more and more to add to the collection. You can see the display at the new workshop, along with some vintage mowers and chainsaws.
